How it works

It's a simple 3-step process: Step 1 — Select your condition and complete a brief online health questionnaire. Step 2 — A licensed medical provider reviews your case, diagnoses your condition, and creates a treatment plan. Step 3 — If prescribed, your medication is sent directly to your chosen pharmacy, with home delivery available for certain conditions.
No appointment needed. Call-On-Doc is available 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays.
Yes — Call-On-Doc provides telehealth services around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. You can submit a consultation at any time. Prescription processing typically happens within 2 hours during normal business hours. Submissions made outside of peak hours may take a little longer.
No appointment is ever required. Call-On-Doc is an on-demand telehealth platform — simply start your visit at any time and a provider will review your case as soon as possible. This makes it ideal for urgent or last-minute healthcare needs.
Most consultations are handled entirely through the online questionnaire — no call or video is needed. In some cases, a provider may request a phone call, text, or video chat if they need additional information before prescribing. If a provider contacts you and you don't respond, it can delay your prescription, so keep an eye on your email and phone.
Call-On-Doc is a legitimate telehealth platform with licensed, board-certified doctors and nurse practitioners. All providers are fully credentialed and authorized to prescribe medications in the states where they practice. The platform has been operating since 2017 and is trusted by millions of patients across the United States.
Call-On-Doc is available to anyone in the United States seeking virtual healthcare, regardless of insurance status or geographic location. Providers are licensed in the states where you reside, so coverage is nationwide.
If your condition requires an in-person examination or is beyond what can be safely treated via telehealth, you'll receive a full refund of your consultation fee. We can also assist with a referral to an appropriate specialist or local healthcare provider if needed. Please note that Call-On-Doc does not treat severely ill or medically unstable patients.
You can reach the support team by messaging support from your patient portal at callondoc.com/en/chat-supports. You can also schedule a callback directly from the support page.
Prescriptions

The typical turnaround is within 2 hours of submitting your consultation during business hours. Delays are most commonly caused by incomplete medical information or a provider needing to contact you before prescribing for additional information. If you haven't received a confirmation, check your CallonDoc messages. If there's no message or notification after 2 hours, message support from your patient portal at callondoc.com/en/chat-supports.
Your prescription is sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice. Call-On-Doc partners with both brick-and-mortar pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, etc.) and online pharmacies that offer home delivery for certain medications. You specify your preferred pharmacy when you complete the consultation form.
Tip: Call the pharmacy directly to confirm receipt rather than relying solely on the automated system, as those may not update immediately.
No. Call-On-Doc cannot prescribe controlled substances or potentially habit-forming medications. This includes narcotics, muscle relaxers, Ambien, Clonidine, Gabapentin, and similar medications. If you require these, you will need to see an in-person provider.
Yes. Call-On-Doc can refill most medications if you are currently taking them or have had a fill within the last 3 months. Antifungal and antibiotic medications always require a new prescription evaluation regardless of previous usage. If your medication doesn't qualify for refill, you can submit a new consultation request. Visit callondoc.com/en/consultation to get started.
Yes. Your consultation fee only covers the provider's review and prescription. Medication costs are separate and paid directly at your pharmacy. You can use your health insurance at the pharmacy to help cover the cost of medications, even though Call-On-Doc itself doesn't accept insurance for consultations. Call-On-Doc can also suggest affordable alternatives if a prescribed medication is too costly. We do offer some home delivery plans with the cost of the medication included for conditions such as Weight Loss, ED, and Mental Health.
Call-On-Doc treats every condition according to standard of care but cannot guarantee a cure. To ensure continuity of care, patients experiencing persistent or unresolved symptoms after a consultation are eligible for a follow-up evaluation for a different medication or appropriate diagnostic tests recommendation at no extra cost within a 10-day window. If you still don't improve, you may need to be evaluated by a local physician. If more than 10 days have passed since the initial consultation, a new appointment will be necessary to properly assess your current condition.
Prior authorization requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and may involve an additional fee. If you need prior authorization sent to your insurance, request it explicitly through your patient portal messaging board. Allow time for processing and follow up with your insurance company directly to confirm receipt.

No. The consultation fee covers the provider's review and prescription — not the medication itself. If your insurance doesn't cover the prescribed medication or the pharmacy cost is higher than you expected, the consultation fee is not refundable. Call-On-Doc can, however, suggest affordable alternatives if available — contact support through your portal.
Delays most commonly occur when a provider needs additional information from you and hasn't received a response. Log in to your CallonDoc account and go to your Messages for any messages from the provider. Other causes include high patient volume or incomplete intake forms. If you need to cancel due to an extended delay, do so promptly before the prescription is sent to qualify for a refund.
Log in to your CallonDoc account and message support from your Messages at callondoc.com/en/chat-supports with the request for refund and the reason. Refunds are processed faster when submitted before a prescription has been transmitted.

Call-On-Doc allows parents to get pediatric care without taking time off work or school, without exposure to waiting room germs, and without the lengthy process of scheduling an in-person appointment. Parents can get treatment for their children from home — often with a prescription ready at the pharmacy within 2 hours.
